Been taking up some freelance web design projects wif wz and yh. Pilot Pen will be our first client! Went down to their office to negotiate the pricing and the scope of the project on thursday. Shall not divulge the cost of it here /gg
Feels like im back to school now with all this projects in hand. Main difference is that we are getting paid and that's what motivates me to sacrifice my free time to work on it. So the 3 of us will work on the project tmr at wz's place. He refused to come fetch us :(
I'll end this short entry here cause im meeting Eric now for some supper.
Looking extremely forward to the Redang trip wif them this coming sunday!
Bye all and take care always!

The 3rd c140 chalet was fun and well spent. It was held at NSRCC this time round instead of aloha loyang as it was a lot cheaper and definetely way more nicer. However, the downside of it was the inaccessibility to the place. But thanks WZ for being our driver for the 2 days lol
It rained almost the whole day on Monday but luckily it subsided in the evening, allowing us to start the fire for bbq. Even without the rain, we still had a lot of trouble getting the fire started. Wanqi was our "fire starter", just like the previous 2 chalets. We took turns occasionally but seems like only she knows how to do it haha so we gave our support by rooting for her.
The food for that night was awesome with sausages being the most popular dish haha. The satay was a joke at the start because it took like an hour to get it done due to the subdued fire. So the others went in to the kitchen and use the microwave/cooking heater to cook the rest of the food.
The most funniest and fun moment of the whole chalet have got to be the bbq session! loads of jokes and laughters.
Some activities we did include Mahjong, Cavin's board games, card games and some movies on TV. A few of us didn't sleep for the first night as the room was fully loaded.
So we went grocery shopping at bedok in the morning after dropping Wanqi off at tanah merah station. Stocked up cup noodles, chips and bought pastas which was our dinner for that day. Played basketball and soccer in the noon when we got back. Didnt know that we have to pay for the booking of the courts so we took both the soccer and basketball court for 2 hours without even utilising the soccer court and half the duration. They only told us that the total cost was $17.10 after we returned the key :(
The 2nd night was less eventful as we ran out of things to do lol. Many slept early but alicia and me stayed up to watch the Champions league till around 6 in the morning. Had to sleep on chairs after that which ached the shit out of my body.
Reached home at 1015 and took slept till 6. Nothing beats luxuriating in my own bed.
Pictures and maybe videos is with Shellen. Seems like shes the only one taking photos the whole time. Shall steal it when she or the others post it up.
This may be our last class chalet for the next few years at least as us guys will be in NS soon. Sad but true. But it was fun to be able to meet up with almost everyone and chat happily like how we did during year 1.
All the best to everyone's future and endeavours
cheh.....................C140!
haha bye all. Champions league in an hours time!

Notting Hill

"Notting Hill" is a rather old movie which came out in 1999 but i havent watch it until today. Definitely worth the 2 hours siting down and facing my laptop. Hugh grant is without a doubt one of my favourite actors. Love Actually, music and lyrics and notting hill were all wonderful movies. Not forgetting Julia Roberts who is ever so good looking.
Go watch this film if u havent already.
All in all, its about "notting hill meeting beverly hills"
bye!

MP Presentation
We had our Mp presentation today at 11am but we agreed to reach sch at 9 to set up and do last minute testing. Its a good thing that we went early because there were lots of hiccups. The most scary thing would be the dropping and breaking of the infra red filter which we all blamed YJ for it because he went up and adjusted the camera. Can sense that Rick is damn angry. Thankfully he had a spare one in his office so YJ was reprieved. The camera and laptop gave us slight problems as usual. Preparations will never ever be plain sailing for us.
But most importantly, our presentation went quite smoothly although we only had 5mins to demo all our applications which was a big rush for us. We more or less managed to answer most of the questions that were being thrown at us. They gave us a lot of recommendations on how to improve our project which until now, is still haunting me because I don't wish to do any more work from now on as i regarded this presentation as the end of the whole major project phase. Sadly, our group will most probably be involve in the project show. This means that we need to implement those recommendations given for the purpose of the exhibition. Sigh seriously, i rather get an average grade and not be selected for the show. But we don't have a choice. Imagine Rick's reaction when we tell him how we feel.
I'm definitely not bragging about the fact that we got chosen for project show. Please dont feel offended. I just want it to end but it remain as elusive as ever.
Veering away from the topic on school, ive yet to find a part time job :( please intro me if u all have any lobangs ok? Till then, i shall spend my time strumming and picking.
I managed to catch the movie "Music and Lyrics" on HBO a few days back. Even though i only managed to watch part of the show on both occasions when i saw it on TV, it is still as funny as ever. The ending is one of the best ever to me. In total, i think ive watch that movie 4 times already and it will remain as one of my favourites always!
Thats about it for this entry. The rate of me writing 1 proper entry now is once a month or somewhere there lol so we'll see whens the next one.
bye all and take care!

i've just experienced the deadliest "sleep destroyer" combo.
lion dance (at the storey right above)
Extremely ear splitting drilling (the storey right above too)
All happening at around the same time. Heck, the drilling had been going on for hours since like 10+ in the morning with short intervals in between. At least they gave me some respite but still!!!!!!!!!
drill drill drill, i hope u drill your brains out
annoying people

happy new year once again
Its been pretty fun and exciting so far. As usual, everyone came down to my place yesterday. My little cousins dashed into my room when they reached. Apparantly, computer games are more attractive then "ang paos" haha. But its good that they had fun. I remembered not looking forward to their arrival last time because i don't want to give up using my laptop.
Its different now, in the sense that i prefer going outside and talk to others rather than playing computer games. I don't really sit down and chat with them as we are not really on the same wavelengths. So i just mingle around, play with my little baby cousins and listen to the others talking. Somehow it makes me feel happy just by doing that.
I really look forward to chinese new year everytime because the feeling of seeing everyone coming together, happily talking to one another makes me feel blessed to be part of them. Thus, its quite dejecting when some didnt turn up or when they leave the place early.
Sorry, Its new year now and i shldnt sound so sad haha
Anyway today was fun. Went to one of my aunt's place at Jurong today. Its a fairly new apartment and its on the 20th floor lol. My cousin has his own room and its really nice. Nothing fancy or anything but i envy those who have their own area because they can decorate it!
Tmr will be the 3rd day of new year and most of the people will go back to sch / work. Somehow, i'm not in the mood to enjoy my break yet. Maybe we are not officially liberated until the presentation is over. The guys will be coming over for some MJ and that's how the day will be spend.
Hope u guys enjoyed celebrating chinese new year so far. Sucks waking up early to go visiting but still, beats going to sch for MP.
Enjoy and take care!
Have an ox-picious new year

Spirit!
After almost half a year, we've finally met up! Not the whole team was present though at ly's 21st birthday party yesterday. But then again, our whole team was never present during most of the outings last time haha. Its really wonderful that we all can still click so well together despite not talking, even on msn for 6months. Past events, especially all of the silly chalet jokes and antics were always being brought up when we meet, especially CY and me. We can go on and on for the whole day without getting bored of saying and repeating the same old sentences. Too bad all of us are either busy serving the nation or studying now, if not we will surely have another chalet and also another chance to withness a 19+2! (inside joke).
Before meeting them in the evening, i watched "red cliff 2" with eric and the others at Ehub. One of the most anticipated sequels this year and it wasnt too disappointing. Was expecting a sad ending where the protagonist will sacrifice and die but it didnt happened that way. It was a nice movie nonetheless
Met up with jason and cy at boon's place to settle ly's present. We bought him a plain jersey because the printing is unbelievably expensive. So we decided to just use markers and write smth on it haha. After spending almost an hour on thinking what to write, we decided to draw out the intended design that is supposed to be printed on the jersey and the outcome was good. We played some PS3 over there too. Winning eleven!, our classic favourite lol
Boon drove us to the condo where the celebration was held. I realised that my cousin lived there too, at the same condo. Saw a couple of familiar faces there, people like hongji, dominic and sean. Most of the people there were ly's relatives. Dinner was good and as usual, the same old jokes were the main topic of that night lol. I think it will really stick with us for the rest of our lives.
It was still early when the celebration ended so we decided to go to Ly's shop to watch soccer and also to reminisce haha. Boon, Jason, Cy, Ly and myself were there. Played card games like "tongkat ali", our variation of Poker and indian poker which Ly suggested. Whats the odds of getting a 2 of diamonds for the first time and then changing ur card to a 2 of clubs. The funny part is that the other guy is holding a 2 of hearts and there are more than 20 cards out there that is bigger than his but unluckily, u changed cards and got the one and only card which is smaller than his 2 of hearts and thus, losing that round. Thats what happened to me. Boon was laughing so hard till he went out of the room lol.
Anyway, we had a helluva time over there, not forgetting the man utd victory over chelsea! Ordered some mcnuggets to end the night.
Thanks boon for the trip back! and happy 21st to u ly! We all really need to do this again soon.
Back to school tmr and with MP coming to an end, i hope everyone will be able to finish their project and end it on a high note

past few days have been pretty hectic. Need to prepare our stuff to show during the walkthroughs and open house showcase which is tomorrow! I dun like to present infront of a noisy bunch of crowds because chances are they won't be able to hear wat im saying. Hope everything goes well for the next 3 days.
And i hope everyone else is doing good for their MP. I know u all can do it!

its gonna be the start of a new year in around 1 hours time! Looking back at the start of year 2008 till the very last day of it, it was certainly memorable and fun journey albeit encountering adversities during a certain period of time.
I guess the highlight of this year would be my 3months overseas attachment period. Although we did come back to SG to spend the weekends once a month, i still find it hard to not have my parents and close people living in the same area as me. I missed Singapore quite badly during that 3 months haha and we even joked about wanting to kiss the road when we reached the singapore custom on our first trip back here during the first month of the attachment. So often ive been complaining about how bored is Singapore and that theres nothing much for us to do here. Ironically, this is the place that i cant wait to come back to when im abroad. We all need to get segregated from here for a period of time to realise that home is the best place to be!
Year 2008 is also the first year that i didnt get to celebrate my birthday in Singapore because of my attachment. I guess year 2009 will not be an exception either because i will most probably be serving the country during late july :(. A memorable 20th and 21st birthday indeed haha.
This will also be my last and final year in Poly. Something that i'm definitely looking forward to.. life after graduation! but i bet i will miss the times during year 1 and 2 when we were having lessons together as a class before we all went seperate ways for MP and SIP. This is how most of us behave. We often complain and whine about how arduous the process or journey is but when we come to the end it, we somehow miss going through the same thing again. Maybe we missed all the fractiousness! Though i get to make friends with other people in my course, the times during APEL with c140 were the best! I will be looking forward to more class outings and chalets in the future
Finally, to end this instropective entry, i shall pin down some resolutions for the new year!
1) To work hard during the holidays and earn some money
2) To advance musically in my guitar playing
3) To do more housework
4) To train up and prepare myself for National Service
5) To do more kind deeds!
and many more.......
HAPPY NEW YEAR PEOPLE!
the countdown is over as im typing this sentence now!
May good health and prosperity be upon each and everyone of u
take care and all the best for ur future endeavours!
