my first bookout was pretty well spent!

Went to alex's place ytd in the noon to slack around. Headed to leisure park to do some grocery shopping in the evening. Pringles seaweed and Jumpy's chicken ftw! We bought this whole honey glazed chicken too and Alex found this cheese spread thing which is being packaged in a metal can, like those whip cream kind of thing. It's so good, you can even eat it on its own (Gardenia's tagline). That + the pringles seaweed flavour is good shit.

was suppose to go double O with maxie, her friend and alex last night but i backed out last minute cause i want to go home and watch soccer :( Sorry guys! clubbing isnt really my thing. i will make it up to u guys soon.

Just came back from Century square and Tampines mall! Had swensens for breakfast with Wy then it's more grocery shopping @ NTUC. Bought "Wang wang" and sultana biscuit which i'm gonna bring in to camp, together with the godly pringles seaweed and jumpys!

We then walked to century square to buy some mooncakes. Oreo cheese and Durian flavoured mooncakes are way too hard to resist. Just buy!

And now i'm back home, with a list of things in my mind i hope i can accomplish before going back to camp

1) Watch "500 days of summer". Yes i got that movie! /gg
2) Eat the mooncakes!
3) Eat Wy's Tiramisu! thanks girl!

For some strange reason, i'm very eager to watch '500 days of summer'. Yes i know ive mentioned it before in my previous entry. Weirdly, i think this is the first or one of the few times that i have such voraciousness towards a movie. Nothing is gonna stop me from watching this,even if i have to do it alone! haha

Luckily for me, that didnt spoil the rest of my day. Went to collect our pay for the pilot pen website with yh before going down to laselle to meet wingyi for some delicious beancurd! Eating that for 2 days consecutively doesnt make me feel sick of it because it's really refreshing and yummy

Went to Timbre at mount sophia to have a drink and relax with Shi bin, Shi Kai, Eric, Woon chao and Lih long. First time visting there and i must say it's a really nice place to sit back and relax and enjoy the music. Sadly, the music that the lady performed today wasnt the type we would like to hear :( but she has the voice nonetheless. Oh yea, the pizza there is really the bomb. One of best ive ever eaten.

Headed off to some prata shop to grab a bite after that and took the last 518 home.

So far, my block leave has been pretty well spent! Sadly, our days of being a civilian are numbered :( Shall not dwell on that anymore

Will be going to JB tmr to do some shopping! At least im taking some time off to go overseas and enjoy during this 10 days. right? haha. Hopefully we don't get rob.

This weekend is gonna be fun. Celebrating my pri sch's friend birthday on friday and then meeting my poly mates for dinner on saturday! What more could i ask for

did our final obstacle in BMT today. The 24KM route march.

my feet hurts like hell. Rashes all over my shin area.

The weather certainly didnt do us much favour during the march. I can feel my body burning, literally. Probably close to 39 deg celsius.

But in the end, it's all good. We all passed out happily, with much jubilation.

It's really nice to see our commanders smiling throughout the whole parade. Really makes everything we've went through for the whole 9 weeks worth it.

The whole BMT phase was really my defining moment in life

Best of luck to all my platoon 3 mates, especially my fellow rascals in section 1! U guys really made me enjoy BMT even more. I will never forget how we did our last area cleaning on tuesday. Flooding the whole bunk with water just to wash the floor and then panicked because we were afraid the place will not be dry in time. hahaha. keep in touch always!

And for now, i shall lie back and enjoy 10 days of civilian life. 10 really precious days to me

It was a long and somewhat tiring day
with many strangers walking past
made eye contact with a few
hoping they will look at you

Went to the atm
accidentally withdrew 200bucks
wanted to hit to machine in hopes of stopping the thing
i laughed at my stupidity as i walked off with the money

Decided to go home on my own
as I needed a breather
With my players in my ears
those childish thoughts slowly disappears

The journey back was a period of introspection
coupled with a tinch of self reflection
i had the urge to browse thru my phone
Even though im better off leaving it alone

I took off 1 side of my ear phones
to hear myself sing along with the song
Constantly looked back and forth to make sure no one is around
so i don't have to quiet down

The walk back home was fast
as the lights turned green when i go past
With my favourite tune being played
i took out my keys and opened the gate

3 more weeks to the end of my life as a recruit!

cant believe that we are already half way thru our BMT phase. I still remember how crazily long that first 2 weeks of confinement lasted and that everyone was so damn high and excited during the first book out. Time really flies.

Today was a great day because we had our earliest book out timing ever, which was at 12pm! Reason being we visited the Singapore Discovery Centre and Army Museum in the morning as part of our NE Visit trip. Took a cab back home with Sunny and Ben from there after the whole thing ended. 30bucks was the fare :(

Went to Lasalle with Wy in the noon for lunch at their school cafe called - 15 Minutes. I think the whole school is very attractive and im in love with the architecture. Not forgetting the "golf course", which is a damn nice place to lie down and relax. According to her, it's called the "Campus Green".

She went up to find her lecturer after lunch so i roamed around the school like a dog who has lost its way. Decided to go to the library because that's the only place that makes me look like i'm part of the campus and i managed to lie down and relax on the "golf course" the second time she went up. Feels good!

Walked to the Rochor Beancurd stall after that for some good and light meal! Took bus 518 back home after that and i pretty much spent the rest of the day playing guitar.

Went to the SAF MDC website just now to check out the details for the audition which im planning to go to next sat. Seems like the kind of thing i'm looking for. Gonna call them up tmr and enquire more. Hope everything goes well!

Gathering with my poly mates tmr to celebrate liangjun's and kelina's birthday! Looking forward to meet up with them, especially those who DIDNT turn up for my birthday celebration last month. TIME TO DIE!

Lastly, on a random note, spending the day at home is pretty fun. yes i just realised that today :( I keep telling myself to make use of every minute when we book out. I didnt know staying at home can also be productive. shit

The past 6 days was total hell for me.

Field camp, the most painful and heart wrenching thing ive ever been thru

I wanna thank my mum, dad and every one else at home for being my motivation because i really didnt expect myself to get thru the ordeal.

To sum it up, it was a mental, physical and emotional breakdown.

Now, i believe i have the confidence to overcome whatever adversities that's being thrown at me

yes, confidence is the key. That's my mantra

Today was a fun day.

Managed to indulge in some yummy delights! One thing i always looked forward to when i book out. The dessert at "The Traditional Dessert" was awesome! Wy really knows how to recce. hahaha

My post-birthday celebration with my family, relatives and friends just now was a blast. My parents put in a lot of effort into organising the event and i really really appreciate it. I love every gifts i received also, especially the ones my brother gave me.
Thanks for coming down Jason, Cy, Eric, Mao, Matt and Alex. Felt damn good talking to u guys!

I really wanna do something about my corner in my room. Yes, im refering to that laptop table which has a conglomerations of everything. Theres a lot of things i wanna put up but don't have the space to do so :(

had my 21st birthday celebration today wif my poly mates and alex choon and mao. Took me much persuasion before the 3 of them agreed to come. lol

Shall keep it short and sweet. Feeling a little too tired now to go into details

Went to swissotel merchant court for dinner. The food was alright. The durian paste was exceptionally good! However, i feel that i didnt get to taste alot of other food because i was talking to people most of the time :(

And from the bottom of my heart, i really really love the presents and the delicious birthday cake! i seriously sincerely do. I was too full to finish the cake :( but i really like it. Sorry!

UPDATES!
Time for one last entry before i go to Tekong tmr!

I said that i want to make full use of the remaining few days before my enlistment so..

For the past few days, it's either i crashed over at my frends place or stayed out till around 6+ in the morning. As a result, i feel like i totally neglected my family :( So i decided to come home early today to have dinner at home and to complete a list of things i wanna do before army.

But the good thing about staying out late is that ive enjoyed myself a lot, especially doing crazy things with friends. I managed to meet up with my different groups of buddies last week and it's really gratifying.

Went to Meldon's birthday celebration on Saturday at Aranda's country club. But before that, weizhe, john, pq, wy, lih long and myself had fun getting lost in the car at Seletar air base, trying desperately to find the place called Sunset grill. When we finally got there after 30 mins of aimless driving, it wasnt OPEN!?!?!?!?!. haha okay wy don't angry. We still managed to have a good lunch at Mad Jack.

So the birthday celebration was sort of like a team spirit reunion although we were the minorities there. Met up with primary school mates like boon long, jason and ly. Cy and of course Meldon was there too. So that makes up half of the team! The chalets we had in the past and times spent at ly's shop are perennial jokes that we will never ever get sick of bringing it up everytime when we meet.

Sunday was spent at alex's place during the first half of the day as Choon and I crashed there the previous night. Felt pretty damn fun whenever we stayed at alex's place. Jammed a little with Choon. Good shit! We need to do it again some time soon! Went to Raymond's birthday celebration at night at Downtown east chalet. That night was crazily fun. The bbq food was good despite having a hard time starting the fire due to the rain. We all partied like mad. Needless to say, people next door couldnt tolerate our revelry and had to complain. But it was kinda futile. We all continued playing till about 4 or 5+ in the morning. Thought we all could finally sleep in peace until Alex, Choon and Mattx woke up and claim that they couldnt sleep, so they won't let the rest of us sleep either. Haha. It was seriously one hell of a night.

Monday was Sunset grill day with Alex and Maxie! Yes this time it was no prank. We managed to dine there for real! haahaha. That place is well known for their different "level of spicyness" for their buffalo wings. Level 1 to 10 are in the menu.. anything higher and u have to tell the waiter personally haha. Alex said that ur name will be on their "hall of flame" list if u managed to finish eating the level 35 one. lol omg.

We started with level 4.. and i lost the guts to try anything higher than that after the first bite. Seriously, the spicy-est meal ive ever eaten. hands down. They wanted to try the level 10 one, but i don't wanna have sausage lips.


Level 4 buffalo wings. We ordered the half dozen one. Cost about 17bucks. Of course, the higher the level, the more expensive it gets.

Mission accomplished! Felt like an ordeal. But it was an delicious one.


Alex and I ordered their fish and chips. Cost about 16bucks. But it's very tasty and filling! Worth the penny


And Maxie's pan fried fish. Tasted equally good as well!


Didn't really take picture of the surrounding but we are at the Singapore Flying Club! ulu like hell. But the atmosphere there was pretty good. Mellow, not too noisy. Bad thing is theres alot of mosquitos flying around! Better wear long pants if ure planning to go there. haha

This place is a must-go for all spicy food lovers! It's a little costly to me but definitely something that's worth trying once in a while!

After Sunset grill, we went to cathay to watch the movie "I love you, man".


IT'S FREAKING FUNNY SERIOUSLY! i've never laughed so loud for a long time in the cinemas already. It's damn nice and meaningful. This show has everything! u guys need to watch it. Not kidding. I cant find any flaws in this show. It's really really really good. An instant favourite!

After the show, i went down to boon's place to catch up with the guys. Jason and Cy was there. Thanks Alex, the emo dog for the ride down. haha. Played some ps3 there and used the com awhile.. before we knew it, it was already 5am. Boon drove us home and i headed straight for my bed. boom

Met up with Wingyi and Peiqi on Tuesday. Went down to TP for lunch. Mensa ftw! Saw Rick when we were at IT school. I miss his APEL lessons!

We went down to illuma mall after Wingyi settled her project stuff. Watched "I love you,man" again! haha yes it's really THAT good. Alex and Choon came down and joined us. Alex and I laughed throughout the show just like how we did the day before. Okay im gonna say it for the last time. The movie is damn good!

The girls went back to tampines and the 3 of went down to ECP for dinner. Food was great. 10bucks worth of hokkien mee, 10bucks worth of satay + rice, 5bucks worth of Rojak for 3 person. Overkill. We all feasted like barbarians, but was unable to finish the last 4 sticks of satay. haha.

Went over to Mattx's place to slack abit and took a bus back home!

And finally today.........

Met Pei qi and Wingyi for lunch at Long john silvers. I like their cheese sauce. Good stuff. Bought tix for the movie "Ghosts of girlfriend's past" then we went back to my house there for my haircut!




We guys have to go through this phase in life. So i gotta deal with it and move on.

Went back to TM for the movie.


It's was pretty good. The ending parts were very touching and it's quite meaningful also. Don't be a player!

Dinner was at T1's food court. My last meal outside was Fishball noodles dry! i won't forget it. haha
