i received news from my agency just now in the evening saying that this week will be my last week of work because Sony doesn't want to deploy anymore mp3 promoters from june onwards.
Bittersweet would be the the word to describe how i felt during that 2 minutes. Happy because i'm jaded of work. Sad because the last day of work always have this haunting poignancy. But overall, i'm damn glad this happened because i can get back my much needed freedom! hahahaha
I'm lucky to have wonderful colleagues working with me. Learnt a lot from them and their conversations in "hokkien" nver cease to amuse me. Thanks guys! hahaha
And i want to thank 2 of my lovely friends, Wingyi and Peiqi, for having meals with me during my break, like today! and popping by occasionally just to say "hi". The time spent talking to u girls really brightens up my day, even if its just for a few minutes. haha thanks once again. love u all!
Since i'm done with my day job now, i can fully concentrate on the pilot pen website. Hopefully i can get it done within the next few days!
Lastly, this weekend will be pretty exciting for me because its the finals for the anti-smoking tshirt design contest. The event will be held at Plaza Singapura and our designs will be showcased in the means of a "fashion show". So come down and support me if ure free!

what is life?
life is staying up to watch the champions league final between Manchester United and Barcelona in 2 hours time
what is happiness?
happiness is when Manchester United lift the champions league trophy in Rome and going down in the record books as the first ever team to retain the Champions league title since the advent of the competition
happiness is also being able to smile the whole day tomorrow despite having to work because Manchester United are the champions of Europe again!

Work
i cant wait to quit my job! Its starting to get boring and dull and i totally don't have time to do the things that i want. Remuneration is the only thing that motivates me to go to work now but still.... i prefer to relax and have the whole day to myself.
Theres so many stuff that i want to do now. Like watching a movie (Penelope will be the next on my list!), play guitar for hours (I'm very desperate to play it but time forbids me) and sleep as long as i want!
3 days of break seem to breeze past pretty quickly and before i know it, its already thursday. 4 days of work, albeit short compared to other jobs seems like eternity to me.
Its weird how people like me always complain about being jobless but whine about how boring their life is when they're working.
Graduation
So we are officially done with our Poly life and are diploma holders now! 2 days ago was the graduation ceremony at the convention centre. Saw a couple of my secondary school mates there. Lots of photos were being taken but i won't be uploading many because im lazy. The atmosphere was pretty mellow.. maybe with a tinge of melancholy, probably due to the fact that we won't be seeing one another again for a long time.
There was a standing ovation when my coursemate, Kevin and his mum went up to receive his accolate. I have total respect for the 2 of them. I've seen him around in school quite often in the past and he never fails to wear a smile. I really admire his attitude towards life and his determination and resilience that helped him overcome adversities. All the best for your future endeavours!
And to my beloved c140: More gatherings and outings okay! all the best to u guys and take care always!
IMI graduation party
Alastair and gang organised a party for the IND graduates on the same day as the ceremony. Definitely had lots of fun there. Talked to a lot of my coursemates whom i didnt have a chance to do so in the past and they were all very fun and cool people! Thanks Jiayi for the card u made for us. I really appreciate it.. yes i sincerely do. So u gotta stop doubting me! hahaha. Please forgive me for not getting it back from u. It completely slipped my mind :(
All the best to my fellow ind coursemates! especially the penang gang! hahaha. 3months with you guys was definitely a blast.
Thats about it! Probably gonna continue doing my work.. i don't know. Should i?

The song "swing life away" by Rise against has one of the most beatifully written lyrics ever among all of the acoustic tunes ive heard. My favourite verse of the song would be the 2 sentences in italics.
Friends friends friends. Where do you place them in your life?

I'm present in almost every human being
I make people hate each other and at times, managed to sow discord in friendships.
Because of me, people hold one another in disdain
Yet, they still use me to impress or to purposely be different.
I can make you look influential and be loved by others, for everything you say will seem plausible.
But as you grow older, i will only get stronger and sooner or later people will realize that you are just a sham
As you keep me by your side, people around you gets disillusioned and your deviousness will slowly be unveiled
I appear in everyone's list when it comes to the things they hate

Headed over to hard rock cafe last night with the guys! We are definitely not the party type of people but we yearn to try something different and fun before we all enter NS
And so, pubbing became our choice. Clubbing is certainly not one of the options because i absolutely hate it. I'd rather attend a lecture in TP.
Eric suggested HRC because he went there before and had lots of praises for that place. I've always wanted to visit it because the name itself really hyped me up. \m/ \m/!
Expectedly, the whole place really brought out the whole rock'n'roll feel with vintage signature guitars being hung all over the place, portraits of rock legends, ranging from the beatles to elton john to bon jovi. Not forgetting classic 80s-90s rock music being played over the stereos!
Sadly, they don't serve any food after 1030pm so 2 jugs of beer and a few cocktails for some individuals was suffice
The highlight of the night has got to be the stellar live performance by that 5-piece band. Didn't really catch their band name but i think its "Enigma". The music they played was definitely not enigmatic in any sense though. With familiar rock tunes like "Hotel California", "Sweet Child O' Mine", "You give love a bad name" and "Livin on a prayer" just to name a few, the pretty subdued crowd at the start quickly got behind the band and the whole place was invigorated
I was awed and amazed by the guitarist of the band. He nailed every solo note for note with no sweat. He even climbed on top of the speakers to play the famous "Sweet Child O' Mine" solo! Breathtakingly awesome!
So after about an hour and 30mins of live music, we left that place in search for some food!
The rest of the night was spent playing LAN until around 530am. Took the first train back home from bugis and headed straight for my bed.
Went to watch the movie "Taken" with wz wy and pq today at AMK hub. Definitely one of the best action movie ive watched in the past couple of months. Download or Pay for it, doesnt' matter. But you guys really need to catch this film!
I'm probably gonna turn in after this entry. Thanks Eric for driving us to ECP for supper just hours ago. Had a nice chat with u guys.
On a random note, i realized that i haven't reached 1000 posts despite starting to blog as early as secondary 3.
116 more posts to go! Probably i've already finished serving the army by then haha

Im pretty much swamped with work right now.
The dateline for the pilot pen freelance project is around the corner and im desperately trying to get it done. Thus, im completely devoid of all my free time now.
I wanna thank kc for helping me with the problems and bugs i encountered. You've made my life a whole lot easier and i dedicate this paragraph to u. Thanks saviour SOON, sincerely , from the bottom of my heart.
My day job is going well so far. This coming week will be my 4th week at work and its pretty enjoyable! Even though ive faced a few customers that behaved like a total asshole. I somehow find them amusing and enjoyed laughing at their silly antics. However, some of them really made me felt shamed to be living in the same country as them. Idiots
