its gonna be the start of a new year in around 1 hours time! Looking back at the start of year 2008 till the very last day of it, it was certainly memorable and fun journey albeit encountering adversities during a certain period of time.

I guess the highlight of this year would be my 3months overseas attachment period. Although we did come back to SG to spend the weekends once a month, i still find it hard to not have my parents and close people living in the same area as me. I missed Singapore quite badly during that 3 months haha and we even joked about wanting to kiss the road when we reached the singapore custom on our first trip back here during the first month of the attachment. So often ive been complaining about how bored is Singapore and that theres nothing much for us to do here. Ironically, this is the place that i cant wait to come back to when im abroad. We all need to get segregated from here for a period of time to realise that home is the best place to be!

Year 2008 is also the first year that i didnt get to celebrate my birthday in Singapore because of my attachment. I guess year 2009 will not be an exception either because i will most probably be serving the country during late july :(. A memorable 20th and 21st birthday indeed haha.

This will also be my last and final year in Poly. Something that i'm definitely looking forward to.. life after graduation! but i bet i will miss the times during year 1 and 2 when we were having lessons together as a class before we all went seperate ways for MP and SIP. This is how most of us behave. We often complain and whine about how arduous the process or journey is but when we come to the end it, we somehow miss going through the same thing again. Maybe we missed all the fractiousness! Though i get to make friends with other people in my course, the times during APEL with c140 were the best! I will be looking forward to more class outings and chalets in the future

Finally, to end this instropective entry, i shall pin down some resolutions for the new year!

1) To work hard during the holidays and earn some money
2) To advance musically in my guitar playing
3) To do more housework
4) To train up and prepare myself for National Service
5) To do more kind deeds!

and many more.......

HAPPY NEW YEAR PEOPLE!

the countdown is over as im typing this sentence now!

May good health and prosperity be upon each and everyone of u

take care and all the best for ur future endeavours!

yesterday was a fun-filled and memorable day!

The first half of the day was spent at sentosa with my secondary sch mates. Think its the first we went there together. Before meeting up with the rest at harbour front, i left home at around 6am to meet eric at tampines station. The plan was to meet up for breakfast, 7 am at some place near lih long's house. We decided on that while playing game that night so we gamed and msned till about 415am and i took a 45mins nap cuz i couldnt take it anymore. They were afraid that i would oversleep and wake up in the noon but i managed not to. Had Prata at somewhere near bugis. Muhmaad sultan road to be exact. The place we ate at was the only one in the vicinity that was opened and they make good and huge pratas!

I thought the beach at Sentosa would be super crowded as it was a Sunday but surprsingly and thankfully, its not! So we didnt had any trouble finding a sheltered spot to settle down. The weater was very erractic. It can be torrid for a minute and then cooling and windy for another. But it didnt rain so it wasnt that bad. We met a group of people from the express class over there too. Seems like we werent the only gang that is still meeting up after graduation. Didnt really know most of them but they all still look the same. So the group gathering turned out to be a CCHB reunion haha. We played soccer and captains ball together. Definitely relishing every minute of it.

I reached home at around 530 in the evening and quickly took a short nap as i can hardly keep my eyes open the entire day. Headed to safra at 645 for our class xmas gathering at Minds cafe. Glad to see most of my classmates again. Played a board game called "tabboo" It was actually quite fun and funny lol. I was so engrossed with it that i couldnt be bothered about my food. Did a gift exchange after that! Thanks alot pq for the cute present!

10 of us went to catch "YES MAN" after that at TM. Lucky we were able to get one whole row to ourselves. It was a movie that i was looking forward to ever since i saw the poster at Penang and it definitely didnt disappoint! The starting few mins is already damn funny. Those funny expressions of jim carrey's face is priceless. The movie is not all about trying to make u laugh. It also teaches one not to say "yes" to everything or to everyone. It might seem like ure a really kind person at first but as time goes by, ur "yes" might not be seen as a genuine one to others. Anyway, watch the movie and u will understand wat im trying to say. Its worth every penny!

Time for some pictures of yesterday's xmas celebration. There are many more pictures that is not with me right now. Shall add them when i have it

Driving
Had my Final Theory Test yesterday and i passed! 1 more step before acquiring my driving license and sadly, the practical test is the hardest. Not many of those whom i know cleared it at their first attempt. I hope i can do it though because i have to pay another 200bucks to retake if i fail. I cant afford to waste too much cash on driving. Don't wanna rely on my parents too much and time isn't on my side. Not sure when is my enlistment date and i hope its not any time before june.. so at least i might have enough time to retake my practical if i fail but i prefer not to. Need to start driving hard and getting serious about my lessons if i want to drive my 350z in the future!

School
I think we are in week 6 or 7 of our MP now. I got no idea by when are we suppose to finish our project but shld be a few weeks more, either early or mid jan. Progress had been so far so good. Hope everyone else is doing alright too! Its all gonna end soon so hang in there!

Im sure everyone cant wait to get their IP/MP over with and enjoy the long break before graduation. I'm certainly excited about it. Theres so many things i wanna do during the vacation. Go on a holiday with my friends. Probably to tioman or redang island! I want to find a job and earn some money to pay for my driving lessons, to buy my own necessities and to repay my parents for wat they had done and paid for me. I want to find a group of people to jam with. Its been a long time since i last stepped into the studio. Hopefully the search can be successful and maybe we can play in a gig or smth! Jamming is really something that i want to do often but cant seem to find the right people and time to do it now. So i hope that during the break, i can step into the studio at least once!

Christmas
Its 6 days away! Looking forward to the xmas celebration with my poly classmates on sunday. There will be a gift exchange so i will most probably receive my 2nd xmas gift. But its the fun and fellowship that i'm looking forward too. Might be our last xmas gathering as a class but sadly not all can make it.

Gonna celebrate with my usual group of frends next week. Going to lih long's place for steamboat and probably some mahjong session. Defintely gonna be fun.

All in all, this year's xmas seems like it gonna be filled with lots of fun and lots of laughters. Remember to put on a smile wherever u go. After all, this is the season to be jolly!

Take care everyone! You won't want to fall sick during this period of time

bye!

just finish watching love actually on channel 5. They will really screen it every year at this time of the month! Amazing movie. Definitely injected a whole lot of xmas spirit into me.

I don't want a lot for Christmas
There's just one thing I need
I don't care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas is...
You

Merry early christmas everyone! its 10 days away!

Sunday, December 07, 2008

its that time of the season again!

yeap christmas is around the corners and i'm already in the festive mood already. We've been playing the song "all i want for christmas is you" on friday in our lab. From the funny korean guy version to the original mariah carey version. And of course, not forgetting the movie "love actually", which featured that song too. Its a really nice christmas movie to watch. Hope that channel 5 will screen that movie again just like last year's christmas! Im downloading it now anyway because its a movie to keep!

Its a pity that we can't experience natural snowy weather in Singapore and my family don't have the habit of celebrating christmas so for the past few years, ive been hanging out with friends for some drinking session or having a good meal at restaurants. There was once where we get to exchange presents with one another and i think that was 2 years ago, with my poly classmates. We went to the function room at john's condo and had pizzas, presents exchange and lots of stuff. That was the only time i received a christmas gift. Yeap its a waste for families like mine who doesnt really regard xmas as a joyous occasion and thus, not carrying out the usual way of celebrating it :(

So what will u guys be doing for this year's xmas? ive heard that people in other classes will have a xmas gathering. Good for them :(

Anyway, better focus on MP first before anything else. Sigh its such a pain

All the best to everyone! Hope that the last month of 2008 will be a blast for u guys

bye all and take care!

as long as you dont give up, there will be miracles

I'm sure those who followed the 9pm Aids show on channel 8 would recognise that mantra.
Today was the last episode and it ended pretty well. To me, it is one of the more meaningful drama series that channel 8 ever broadcasted. I think it will galvanize people to emphatize HIV infected patients and of course not ostracize them. Most importantly, i'm sure it will enlighten others about the disease and how it cant be transmitted via casual contact. I defintely learnt a lot from this show, filial piety especially. We all must learn to respect people, especially our parents and kin!

Next up would be "little nonya". Its been a long time since mediacorp did shows during the world war period. Don't give this a miss!

I sound like im doing drama series reviews which i'm not. I just feel that this particular show deserve credits haha

Okay time for bed

bye all and take care!

as long as you dont give up, there will be miracles

accelerate
half clutch
slowly release clutch and accelerate harder

thats for moving off! and its something that i find difficult to master :(

Had my first driving lesson this evening at 6pm and it is also my first time driving a manual car in real life. Met my driving instructor, at wei cong's house there because they both lived in the same block and he recommended me this instructor. He then drove me to somewhere near CDC and slowly explained to me some theory and instructions which took about 20mins in total. I was feeling very very nervous when he asked me to start moving the car. Obviously had a few mistakes because i cant coordinate my 2 legs properly. The clutch is really a headache! Can tell that he(the instructor) is quite frustrated at the start but he is still very patient. Guess that he is used to all this newbie errors.

The lesson lasted for about 2 hours and after turning round and round the same place for about 6times, im starting to get use to it the whole clutch, brake and acclerate ordeal and most importantly, lesser mistakes being made in the second half of the lesson! Defintely felt good and gratifying

But my pocket defintely didn't feel good:( Had to pay $94 just now. $44 for a lesson and the other $50 is for a one time payment for some traffic police thing. Gotta save and save and save.

Overall, i think its worthwhile and is really a great learning experience. I would like to take back all the comments i made on driving being an easy thing because i got owned in the face just now :(

Major Project
I lost count of which week are we in now for MP but i think its the 3rd. The past 2 days was spent demostrating the touchbiance technology and related projects to groups of secondary school students that participated in the TP rawks event. Suddenly it feels like our MP is all about being a part time lecturer because this friday, we are going into the lab to teach them how to do some basic flash animation, just like what our teachers did to us during year1. I wish it was that way but the whole focus of our MP is still to create applications for the touchbiance thing and the progress isn't that good so far. Hopefully rick will teach and help us solve some bugs we have in our first application so that we can move on.

So how's everyone's MP coming along?

Are u all as slack as us with no sense of urgency yet? haha i hope so /gg

That's about it!

Till then, all the best and take care everyone!

byebye!

one of the funniest vidoes on youtube! i nver get tired of watching it lol

Tuesday, November 11, 2008

By my side
I've been following the 9pm channel 8 show since the first episode and even though i missed around 2 to 3 episodes, i still find it very meaningful and think that the show will be a success in terms of conveying the intended message across to its audience. Yes, i'm refering to that AIDS show. Its very sad to see those people carrying that disease get ostracize by others, especially their close friends.. and it leaves me pondering, what will i do if i face such situation? what will u guys do?

Major project
We are into week 2 of MP now. Not much work have been done so far but i believe that we will be able to produce the weekly deliverables. Still don't have the sense of urgency though. So much for wanting to give my best shot for this last semester.

Was able to meet my secondary schoolmates for lunch and sometimes dinner during this period of MP. People like alex, woon chao, daryl and lih long, though studying in the same campus, we hardly get see each other around in school for the past 2 semesters, let alone meeting up for a meal so besides spending all of my daily allowance on the 2 meal, its all good!

Im suffering from a very serious writer's block now so i will end this short entry with an excerpt of a msn conversation i had just now with wei cong and eric.

Happy Halloween!

Once again, its the occasion that we wont get to chance to celebrate it officially. If not, i will spend the whole of october thinking of wat to dress up as and look forward to roaming the streets and meeting other weirdos.

I envy those who are knocking on other people's house and asking for candies now :(

Let's all write a petition to make this day an official one and send it to the government

Mahjong spree

Mahjong
The past 3 days was "mahjong day". We all have the sudden urge to play mahjong and thus resulting in this mahjong spree and this include both wahjong and mahjong lol. No idea wat gave an impetus to this cause. They all came to my place on saturday to play, then yesterday was spent playing wahjong for almost the whole aftenoon and we went to daryl's place to for another session today. Thankfully, the craving didn't last long. We all know gambling is a bad habit

Major Project is looming and the assignment that was given to our group is something that we definitely don't relish. MOF Flash game ver2. Probably the toughest project that our school has for us.

Version 1 of that game was done by our seniors who are those director's list, student of the year, student of the diploma etc type of people and needless to say, that project won the accolades of their clients.

Why are we chosen for it :(

Driving
I just bought my basic theory handbook this evening at popular and the content seems complicated. I underestimated it! I keep saying to myself "red light stop, green light go" but obviously theres more than meet the eye. E-Trial on wednesday and Actual test on next monday which is the first day of our Major Project. "Icing on the cake"?

time for some CS

nights all!

Im typing this entry now at the macdonalds at KL international airport. Our flight was brought forward to 1pm instead of 230pm so we still have about 1hour to kill. 12pm was supposed to be the timing after we asked for a change of an earlier time slot but when we were having breakfast at kfc, an announcement was made saying that our flight had been changed to 1pm.. if not we will be inside the departure hall now preparing to enter the plane.

But surely and definitely, our return to Singapore will not be delayed!

See you guys soon and a safe trip back to Alastair and gang when they board the plane from Penang to Singapore is at 530pm

bye!

Tuesday, October 14, 2008

Today will be the last day of work for us in penang becauwe we are going back to Singapore tmr for good!

Anyway last night, one of the manager, Pang took us out for dinner at the same place where my parents and i went to when they came down the other time. The food there is exceptionally good and Pang is a very humorous and nice guy too. Certainly one of the nicest we ever met in the past 3 months here

Let's hope that all the flight tix arrangements goes well. We still need to buy another air ticket that will take us from Penang to KL because our return trip is from KL airport.

So the next time when i update again, i'll most probably be back in Singapore, in my room!

Looking forward to this saturday. Gathering at wei cong's place for some MJ session

Safe trip back for us!

bye!

Langkawi trip & Mun Yee's Birthday

Ive been pretty lazy for the past few days and hence, the lack of updates. My apologies!

Its been a week since we came back from our langkawi trip. It wasnt quite a successful one though.. mainly because of the bad bad weather which forbids us to do alot of outdoor activities.

We took the 830am ferry on Monday so u can imagine what time we had to wake up.

Alastair took this photo from outside the cabin of the ferry

Was caught up with a little sea sickness.. feeling nauseous half way through the journey. It was a 3 hours right by the way and numerous people vomitted. Some just had to vomit out loud, making that *urgh yeah* sound which almost made me threw up. I took a long nap, hoping to recover from the sea sickness and it did. When outside for some fresh air when we were about to reach our destination.

Me, Raymond and Alastair.

Being a first timer to langkawi, i thought that the island is filled with beautiful beaches.. where u can see through the water and withness the coral reefs. However, my preconception was immediately dismissed after i saw the beach near our motel. It wasnt what we were hoping for. No clear water and coral reefs. Instead, it reminds us of Singapore.. like east coast park.. just that it is cleaner and the waves are bigger. We all still went for a swim though and still managed to have alot of fun there. Alastair will develop those pictures we took at the beach when we get back to SG.

Night shot of the beach behind our motel by Alastair

We went for a stroll to the nearby shops along the road in the night. Bought a billabong boxers for just 12RM. Probably fake one though lol. Had alot of fun playing around with some products in the shop.

Us goofing around with straw hats!

Nick (our colleague), Raymond and Me

The sleep that night was very bad. Our room was damn dirty. Lots of mosquitos flying around. My nemesis :@ and our beds had bed bugs too. Couldnt sleep still for 10mins without having to scratch my body/leg.

On the second day of our trip, our supervisors wanted to go visit the underwater world but we all think that its too costly and that its something that we already experienced before at Sentosa so the 6 of us went shopping at the duty free shops nearby while they went in to the world of fish tanks. The dfs there had myriads of alcohols and chocolates and its very cheap.. but sadly, im not a connoisseur of those. However, something across the street caught my eye....

Its the Honda NSX! Was damn surprised to see such cars over here at Langkawi. I guess that alone makes the whole trip worthwhile

After the underwater world, we wanted to go take the cable cars to go to the top of some hill but then it was raining so i guess they closed the ride. So, we went to feed elephants instead!

It costs about 5Rm per person just to feed it lol. Riding it wasnt an option because it costs 70rm!

There were rabbits and deers too

The entrance to see the rabbits and deers is free of charge. We need to buy their food which cost around 1rm if i'm not wrong in order to feed them. No outside food allowed!

Bernerd throw some of their food on raymond's back and 1 of the deers ate his back!

Dinner that day was at Kuah, the town of Langkawi

good food!

On the third and final day of our trip, we woke up early and went to the beach for a swim. Wanted to do some water sports but the station was closed so we just swam and throw ourselves at the waves. Took a bath and went out to do some shopping. Sadly, most of the shops in the malls were closed due to hari raya. Headed to the most prominent statue of Langkawi to take some pictures before we board the ferry back to penang

The great eagle!

Thankfully, the journey back wasnt as bad as the arrival. Didnt feel like throwing up nor did i hear anyone threw up so its all good

Journey back to penang.. Alastair took it from outside the cabin

I shall sum up the whole trip with 1 last picture!

hehe

That's all for the Langkawi trip

Last friday was Mun Yee's birthday.. something funny happened in the morning before we went for work. Doh! So after work, we all went to Queensbay mall for dinner at T.G.I Friday. The service there is absolutely top-notch. One of the best i ever experienced. Moreover, its just a regular restaurant.. like NYNY those kind.. not those 5 star hotel. The food there wasnt too bad. The burger is very huge and of course very filling. The staff there threw a mini party for Mun Yee and forced her to stand on the chair and sing a song lol. Ms Cherry came down to penang last week so she joined us for dinner too. It was a fun filled night for us all. All the best to Mun Yee and Happy 20th once again!

Thats about it. This entry is probably one of the longest i ever written but i did include pictures to compensate for the wall of text!

Update again soon.

bye all and take care!

She walked through bullets and haze
I asked her to stop
I begged her to stay
But she pressed on
So I lifted my gun
And I fired away

The shells jumped through the smoke
And into the sand
That the blood now had soaked
She collapsed with a flag in her hand
A flag white as snow

will do a proper update soon! feeling damn lazy now.

bye all and take care!

Supposed to go back on friday but i think they declare it a holiday too lol. Post hari raya i guess.

Will upload photos next week when we come back. Alastair bought an underwater camera so expect some pics with the fishes!

its been almost a week since we came back from singapore and things have been pretty normal.. Weekdays are pretty much same.. wake up, go to work, come back and face the computer, doing our own stuffs and sometimes play games together. Weekends were usually spent at home or gallivanting around ourselves.. to somewhere nearby for a meal or to queensbay to shop. Yes queensbay seems like the only place shopping mall in penang for us.. but the truth is we don't know how to go to other places. Taking a cab around has not yet been an option for us because dubious taxi drivers is prevalent in this city. Knowing that we are foreigners, most will offer to bring us to our destination in exchange for some ridiculous price.. which is around 2x higher than what is supposed to be the fare on the meter. They will never use the meter.. except for one driver which is kinda funny...

He asked for 12RM to bring us back home from the bus terminal when we came back from Singapore on wednesday. We thought it was quite reasonable and were also desperate to get back home as it was around 7+ in the morning and taking a cab seems like our only option. But the funny thing is that the driver turned on his meter during the whole journey and it was only 4.70RM when we reached home. lol but still we paid 12RM since we all agreed beforehand. Thats scamming right in our face :( bet he purposely turnd on the meter to indirectly tell us that we got owned.

Seems like the bus is the only trustworthy public transport..but the waiting time can be terrible. I shall take back all my complaints and lavish praise on the Singapore public transport hehe

Anyway, today was spent going to old town coffee house for lunch and then queensbay mall to shop around. Didnt buy anything there though.. but close to getting some music cds because theres this buy 1 get 1 free sales going on at borders. Its buy 1 and get any cd there for free! such a tempting deal. Theres 1 rock compilation album with 4 cds in it for only 69RM! so if i get another of those album.. then its 69RM for 8 CDS. Where can u find such a deal.. anywhere except SINGAPORE maybe. Yet i still didnt get it because it may seem cheap when u convert it back to Singapore dollars.. but i already spent around 100+RM since we came back.. which is only 5 days :(. Soo i shall resist the temptation and not be extravagant.. not until a few days before we go back to Singapore again so as to ensure that i have enough money for my meals and other needs.

And our transport back home was CAB again but this time, the driver seems desperate for customers so..he offered us only 13RM to our house and the best thing is that he asked the 6 of us to squeeze in his car because he doesnt have a partner or someone else with him. Desperation to the extreme! but... the journey back was dreadful.. No air cons in the car and i had to sit on yh. All this torturing for 2RM but the most impt thing is that we are all back safe and sound haha

Speaking about desperation, I was damn eager to watch the big match between man utd and chelsea at 9pm but as you all know, we dun have a tv at home. So i went to the coffeeshop opposite our place and asked whether will they be showing the match on their tv but i think they must be wondering what alien language im using. Speaking english to them is like using sign language because most of the time im either doing weird actions to order to elucidate what i want to say or point at some objects like in this case.. a television. "*points at television* and keep repeating "ada soccer?" Quite amusing actually.

Went back home and quickly search for links that does live streaming soccer matches and i found 1 program called SopCast which is very good. Easy usage and there is alot of channels too but i only focused on ESPN at that point of time. Besides waiting for it to load till around 90+ to 100 percent which takes around 1min or so... there is no buffering needed. Its damn smooth.. the quality is mediocre though. But cant expect much from such free programs.

So my determination paid off and i get to watch the whole match. The results werent that good though.. it ended in 1-1 :( but nvm.. i believe they can do better.. and this is not self delusion

Okay its time for bed.. everyone else has turned in and i shall do so after this. Its raining heavily now.. so it will be an "air conditioned" night for us

bye all and take care!

back in singapore finally! but only till tuesday night. Had some problems with our coach tickets on thursday night.. but luckily, we were still able to get back to Singapore..in a mediocre coach :(

Reached Golden mount at around 920..Met up wif my parents and went to tts hospital to accompany my grandparents. Grandpa had to go for a checkup earlier in the day. Felt delighted to be able to see my grandparents again. Had a little meal at the foodcourt there. Took a cab back home after my grandpa is done. Taking the lift up back to my house never felt soo good before!

Went out to meet weicong and gang at bedok stadium to run. Needless to say, my stamina decreased drastically. Was supposed to go swimming after that but we sat and talked until quite late.. so we skipped that and went for dinner straight at bedok central. Ordered fei fei wanton mee, rojak, carrot cake and desserts! Had lots of laughters as usual. They are seriously a bunch of wonderful people to hang out with

Went to have a haircut today with lih long and wei congat tampines 201. The outcome wasnt that good lol damn it. Walked back to my house first. Took a bath and we took a bus down to cdc to register for driving! finally........

However, after 15mins of bus trip, 15mins of walking to the place... it wasnt open :@ :@ :@ Nvm we will go again this monday. Die die mus register!

Went to wei cong house to slack around then went back home to catch the big match.. pool vs man u

but sigh.. bad bad result

nvm i believe that they can do better

Looking forward to tmr.. where i will spent the noon with my family and then movie and dinner at sakura with the usual people at Ehub.

bye all and take care!

we will be coming back to Singapore on thursday night! which means we willl reach at around friday morning, 8 am plus. excited to be able to come back to Singapore again. Not sure when but the tentative date of leaving back for penang shld be next tuesday. Cant wait to spend the weekends with friends and family. I seriously miss taking the sbs bus and tapping my ezlink card

The weekends was spent staying at home, playing guitar and games most of the time because it was raining heavily the whole day and thus, couldnt get out of the house. On sat, the rain was so heavy until macdonalds didn't want to do delivery :( so we waited awhile for the rain to subside and then went down to giant for KFC.

Walking over to giant had never been paved with adversities before.. the whole road was inundated. Cars, buses and motorcycles had to stop and there were some minor accidents too. Such a waste for not snapping a shot of the whole scene. Anyway, we had to take the overhead bridge and then climbed sideways along some gate because the we wanted to avoid submerging our legs in the dirty water.

and thats how difficult it was just to have a kfc meal :(

Shall blog again soon.. maybe when i reach Singapore.

Till then, take care and bye!

its the 7th week of our osip already! and we will be going back to Singapore next week.. prolly on the weekends. Hope no more screw ups this time round:( i wanna spend more time in Singapore please

Last weekend was a blast! We went to queensbay mall last saturday to catch a movie. Seems like that's the only shopping mall that we know how to go to by ourselves. Wanted to watch money no enough 2 but the seats werent good so we bought tix for "the mummy" instead. Went to some shanghai cafe for late lunch. The food there is good shit. Peanut seasame dessert and durian puff!
Went into the cinema after that. The movie was mediocre heard from alot of people that the show is a waste of money haha but it isnt that bad. Thought it would last for 2 hours or so but its only 1hr 40mins long. Went to jusco after the show to shop for vacuum bags but couldnt find a suitable one. Wanted to take the bus home but we missed the last bus lol. The outside of the mall was damn crowded despite the time and we found out that they were all preparing to count down to the national day of malaya which is the next day and so, waiting to catch the pyrotechnics.

Since we already missed the last bus, we decided to go catch a midnight movie (2nd movie of the day!) and yes we wanted to watch money no enough 2 but the most of the seats were either sold out or reserved :@ i really think the "reserved" system of their cinemas is damn stupid. Almost had a tiff with the ticket lady there because of that :@. Took a cab back home instead. Such a happening night there. Traffic was damn congested outside the mall.

Sunday was really fun. alastair parents came down to penang and they booked a service apartment to spend the night there. They also got us 1 room, just beside theirs! They are really nice and friendly.

So his mum and him came and drove us there in the noon. They also rented a 7 seater car. Good stuff! The place is big and beautiful. The swimming pool is attractive too. Its around 200RM per night.. i think its way better than booking a chalet in singapore. Went swimming right after we settled down! We attempted diving but we failed miserably:(

Went to queensbay in the night to do some shopping. Bought a GAP long sleeves shirt for 152rm. Couldnt resist it! Alastair was a few mins slower so he bought some other design hehe. Had dinner at some chicken rice restaurant. Its cheap, considering the number of dishes one set had. The nata de coco dessert is nice!

Walked around for awhile and headed back home. We all managed to squeeze into the car! 10person lol

No work on monday because its post national day. Which means 4 days work again! We checked out at 12noon but before that we went to some cafe downstairs for breakfast. His mum drove us back home after that. Took a long nap...........................

Met up with alastair and his family for dinner at gurney drive. Joyce drove us there. We ate at the "lau pat sat" lookalike place again but this time we ordered more food of course. But the yong tau fu i ordered was a rip off! 9RM for it :@

Alastair stayed with his family while the rest of us followed joyce back

yeap and thats how the weekends and monday was spent. Definitely a moment to remember!

Okay now i shall post pictures to compensate for the wall of text
